I think the most polarized subjects in NZ society right now is the value of Covid vaccinations. I am already getting peoples backs up. When Covid vaccines arrived, we were told vaccines would stop Covid infection and transmission, and they were compulsory. That dogmatic declaration from the only pulpit of truth was totally wrong, but Ardern never apologized for being wrong. Her way of dealing with people that disagreed with her was to cancel them, and discriminate against them, and shun them and isolate them. It went on for months, and now that has become the normal way to disagree with someone. It worked so well for Ardern that she had to run away with her tail between her legs. And now we are left with her legacy of just being kind to those who agree with you, and dissing the rest. Isnt that exactly what you are describing in your article ? And I still dont believe that Covid vaccines have any value. What about you ?

Hi Mark, thanks for your comment and taking the time to reach out and share your thoughts. I agree that COVID vaccines is a difficult topic and how it was managed left a lot of people feeling very uncomfortable and unhappy. How do you think we can bridge the gap? I am not sure, but I think even just trying to do it or thinking about how we might converse with people we don’t agree with is a step in the right direction.

I think you need to find someone you disagree with first. I saw plenty of disagreement happening at Albert park with Posie Parker protest.

Hi Natalia I think that a pandemic was the perfect opportunity to use propaganda to make the truth irrelevant, so discussing it becomes meaningless. Nothing works better than using an existential threat, and telling people that Covid will be a disease of the unvaccinated. When that clearly is false, we got told that vaccinations will save the elderly. When that proves wrong, we get told another lie about how good the vaccine is. No doctor has apologized to their patient for being wrong about the Covid vaccine protection, so being right has become irrelevant. In the truth vacuum, people have made up all sorts of stories, from the vaccine being totally effective, to it being total poison. You can discuss it with these people, but why should believe anything you say ? They have been lied toover and over. Everyone has some anecdotal evidence to back up their story, and some of the vaccine injured people are Doctors. What are you going to say to the 100 qualified doctors who have lost their careers for not believing the deluded agenda ? Where do you lie on the Covid belief spectrum ? Are you a total believer who is fully vaccinated ? Some believers would make foul accusations at unvaccinated people, simply cos they were told so by Jacinda from the pulpit of truth, but it was all fake. And the lockdowns and vaccine mandates went on for months, long enough to mess with their mental wellbeing, and their judgment. We know it was more than just uncomfortable and unhappy for many people, and you are out of touch if you think that. Many people have got very ill from being conned, and according to the coroner, 4 have died. I havent been vaccinated, or caught Covid, so I am just a spectator watching the social satire. Some doctors would say that polarized views do matter, cos now less people are getting any vaccines for anything.
